DATING TO THE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FASHIONED OF A BLACK SILK WHICH HAS A FLORAL BROCADE RUNNING THROUGHOUT THE TOP WITH THE SKIRT HAVING A LARGER FLORAL BROCADE WITH A STRIPED PATTERN THROUGHOUT. THE TOP IS EDGED IN LACE WITH RED PIPING HAVING APPLIED METALLIC CORDING AND TRIMS ALL AROUND THE EDGES. INTERIOR IS LINED IN A RAILROAD DENIM WITH PINK COTTON AND FLORAL PINK COTTON TRIMMING THE BOTTOM PEPLUM. APPLIED SEQUIN DETAILING RUNS AROUND THE BACK REAR AS WELL AS TRIMMING THE NECKLINE AND EDGES DOWN THE FRONT. SEAMS ARE PIPED THROUGHOUT. THE SKIRT IS CARTRIDGE PLEATED ALL AROUND, TRIMMED IN THE RED PIPING AND LACE AND METALLIC CORDING ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM WITH METALLIC GOLD BRAID RUNNING ABOVE. CONDITION: THERE ARE SPOTS WEAR SEEN TO THE STRIPING THROUGOUT THE SKIRT, NOTE THE IMAGES. PORTIONS OF THE COLOR HAVE WORN AWAY ON ALL OF THE STRIPES. THE BROCADE RIBBON AT THE BOTTOM IS HEAVILY WORN WITH SOME ABSENCES TO THE WEAVE. THE TOP HAS SOME SCATTERED HOLES THROUGHOUT. THE JACKET IS MISSING MOST OF THE HOOK AND EYES AND NEW ONES ARE NEEDED.
