Vintage 1940s dress, in a beautiful fawn drapey rayon crepe. Deep neckline, ruched front bodice, and attached waist ties to emphasise a feminine silhouette. Flirty skirt. Closes with side metal zip. No maker’s labels, only “40” label remains. Shown unpinned on a 34″ bust, 26″ waist, 35″ hip mannequin. Bust: 36″ flat and doubled, possibly more due to drape/ruching Waist: 28″ flat and doubled, stretches up to 30″ (taken at point where waist ties are attached) Hip: free, really, but about 50″ taken 10″ down from waist Shoulder: 15″Sleeve: 18″ Length: 47″ (top of mid centre back neckline to hem) Very good vintage condition, no notable flaws. Clothing is not made like this anymore. It was a little big for my mannequin which is a sz 6. Color is very unique and beautiful. I would describe it as bronze with black accent. 21″ across the hip laying flat.
As I was taking photos of the back I saw a tiny pink mark. I don’t know if it is just a part of the fabric or from a pen. Made in the USA. It is hardly noticeable but o wanted to point it out. You can see it clearly in the last 3 photos.

Antique vintage Tula brand 1940s pink satin dressing robe with lace detailing, reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. Large belt at front for closure and hook & eye at neck. Luxurious soft heavy weight satin. Will fit a variety of sizes but shoulder measurement puts it about a size S/M Chest size up to 40 Shoulder to shoulder: 14″ Length: 58.5 Condition: good to fair. Sold as-is. Needs a bath with a few stains scattered (see photos) and dirt at neck. One area of threadbare/tiny hole that mostly gets lost in the folds.
