Norma Kamali has always had her eye on the past but while her clothes have a decidedly retro feel, they also smack of Norma herself. Fifties dresses that are better for hot rod babes than Harriet Nelson or skirted swimsuits that would make a modern Betty Grable with a Brazilian wax proud. A sheer black synthetic chiffon shirtwaist over a skintight cotton and lycra jersey catsuit with underwire cups and adjustable lingerie straps. F the traditional slip – this is way cooler. The dress alone is totally sheer with full sleeves and a nipped waist, coming with its own black crepe belt. Hidden placket and French cuffs with tiny covered buttons, all three pieces are labelled – one OMO, one Norma Kamali and the belt OMO Norma Kamali. A perfect triangle. Wear them together, as shown, or just the catsuit with a wide black patent belt and tons of vintage Maripol jewelry. The contrast between opaque and sheer and tight and loose is so Norma and so, so good. Sized for anywhere from a 6 to small 10 with very small boobs, the inseam length on the catsuit is 28″ while the dress sleeves are 23.5″ and the length is 55.5″. Excellent condition, truly.
