This is an amazing flowing summer thin silk dress. No interior tags of breakdown of material but it acts like a soft spun silk. There is ripples in the shoulders and a sash in the middle. My best guess is that it’s a rayon crepe or rayon gabardine, which was very common for better-quality dresses in the late 1940s and 1950s. It appears to have a matte finish with very little sheen, which is typical of rayon crepe or rayon gabardine.
✨ Audrey Hepburn vibes. Condition: This is in really good pre-loved condition for the age. There may be a few tiny signs of wear that are barely noticeable. There is a hook and eye closure above the zipper on the back top.
