Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 DESCRIPTION This is a lovely vintage secretary dress from the 80s made by Hal Ferman. The material is a semi sheer polyester crepe that is light blue. The dress is lined in a second layer of the crepe material. The bodice of the dress has an inner layer that is sleeveless, and there is an outer layer that is looser with material that flares out and caps the shoulders. In the center of the chest, there is a panel of satin with floral brocade and the top of the panel is trimmed in chiffon eyelet embroidery. The dress has an elastic waist and a full skirt. The dress does not have any closures; it just slips on over your head. SIZING The tag labels this a size 10, but vintage sizes can run smaller than modern sizes, so this may be closer to a modern size 8. The actual measurements are as follows: Bust: 19 inches across, underarm to underarm (38 inches around) Waist (elastic): 10-15 inches across (20-30 inches around. This is what I’d call the ‘comfortable stretch range’ of the elastic. The waist stretches to 18 inches across at absolute max.) Hips: 23 inches across (46 inches around. This is the measurement for the inner layer) Length: 47 inches from the shoulder to the hem Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. CONDITION This dress is NEW OLD STOCK / DEADSTOCK, and it has never been worn. On the inside of the dress, I did notice a scuff mark on the left shoulder pad (see last picture), but since it is on the inside of the dress, it is not visible at all when the dress is worn!
