This antique Victorian era beaded bronze silk tambour lace leg of mutton sleeve bodice skirt dress dates from 1900. This beautiful bronze beaded two piece dress has a bodice top with an exposed tambour lace dickey insert, button trim accents, a beaded bronze band high neck collar, leg of mutton sleeves with gathered puffed shoulders, hook closures down the front and is fully lined in a brown cotton fabric with stays boning sewn inside.
The bodice on this little dress is red and is gathered at the waist, cuffs and neckline with elastic. The skirt is a floral print in red white and Navy. There is a matching bow at the neckline that is removable for cleaning (attached via pin).
౨ৎ Waist: up to 31” (can tighten tighter). Good antique condition with visible discoloration and age-related wear throughout, consistent with early 20th-century cotton textiles. A double snap closure was added to the back later in its life for wearability.
The interior has a beautifully white satin lining and all of its inner original fully boned stays. No label as to the maker. We have not laundered this piece and the velvet bodice portion is in overall excellent condition.
