FASHIONED OF BUTCHER’S LINEN AND IS TWO PIECE IN CONSTRUCTION. DATING TO THE EDWARDIAN ERA. THE JACKET CLOSES WITH CROCHET COVERED BUTTONS WITH WOOD CENTERS WITH SMALLER WOOD BUTTONS IN GROUPINGS OF THREE TRIMMING EACH SIDE OF THE FRONT, EACH SIDE OF THE REAR TAIL, AS WELL AS THE CUFFS.
Heavier cotton. – very light storage scent. wrinkled steaming / freshening needed.
No closures. Waistband is 3” wide. Under a jeweler’s loupe, the. eyelet details look hand stitched. This may have started off as white but it has aged to a light ecru or off-white. There are a few light discolorations, mostly small spots, here.
All closures are in tact. There is also a hook and eye on the left side of the skirt at the waistband. Length: 51″.
FASHIONED OF A DARK NAVY WOOL GABARDINE AND IS 2 PIECE IN CONSTRUCTION. THE SKIRTING HAS VENTING ON EACH SIDE WITH A SERIES OF 4 BUTTONS CLOSING EACH VENT. BRAID DETAILING ON THE FRONT TOP SKIRT. HOOK CLOSURE IS A THE SIDE WITH A THICK BONED COTTON GROSGRAIN INNER BELTING.
DATING TO THE EDWARDIAN ERA. FASHIONED OF A FINE LINEN AND BOTH PIECES ARE UNLINED. FOUR OVERSIZED SHELL BUTTONS CLOSE THE FRONT WITH THREE SHELL BUTTONS ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH SLEEVE. Often for proper fit, hang, and wear ability, pieces will need to be altered and/or adding a hook or snap here or there, with a seam closure or strengthening needed.
