This coat is a pure beauty — elegant and charming with very special features — most probably hand tailored by a family member who was a tailor-Hand work is obvious in several places both inside and out. The lining feels like flannel — it is red, soft and WELL installed. hand work noticed. The collar is in great condition. The cuffs at wrist are in great condition. There are but 2 tags within — one ‘cleaner’ tag pinned at neck so the coat was last cleaned but many years ago. The other tag is on the inner left panel and states: Temp-Resisto, insulated liner, woven with celanese acetate. The pockets are special — 9 inches x 9 inches, with a 1.5-2 inch base trim (same fabric) from the side seams towards button up central line. The inner top pocket is accessorized by a matching red button as on the coat, but smaller –The pockets stop on the side seems, however an extension of about 1.5-2 inch trim on the base of the pocket Continues over the side seam, gathers a little fabric and the closes which creates an exquisitely charming pleat on each side. There is no open pleat in the back. The collar is about 4.5 inches in size — the cuffs fold upward and have an indention. Overall the coat is as charming as it can be. Very likely it was made by a tailor from the ‘old country’.
