Original Dated 1908, Rare and Wearable, Ivory Silk Satin Gibson Girl Wedding Gown. The Skirt has Tape Lace running vertically, and the hemline is adorned with exquisite Guipure Lace Appliqués which have little “Dangles” at the bottoms.
Union made. Wool/nylon/poly/cotton blend, woven fabric.
Collared, sleeveless pockets, pleated, darted, back full button closure, made in the USA. will show wear, expect minor marks/wear to fabric. Length: 53″ shoulder to hem. waist: 13.5″. Chest: 17″.
I can not of course be sure without the feel of fabric, but I also think there is probably a bit of linen in the fabric. The sleeves are not truly fashionable for the 1890’s. This makes sense as fashion books ( the Godeys and Petersons mostly ) did not reach areas past Chicago swiftly.
