What Diane Likes About This OutfitJean Louis Scherrer has a very interesting history. He worked with the great Dior himself, alongside Yves St. Laurent. He left the house of Dior when YSL was appointed designer. One is left to wonder the relationship between Scherrer and Laurent. Did they get along? Was there a rivalry? Did Scherrer think himself the successor? It makes for a great story of what might have been. Scherrer reached his own level of status and fame, but not close to that of YSL. After Dior, he went to work with Feraud before opening his own couture house, in the early 60s. Mr. Scherrer was known for his restrained and classic styles. But this pink piece is a very pretty piece of whimsy and fun. It is hard not to be optimistic in a set like this.
